Ruby Tuesday Reminiscing

This week’s edition of Mary’s ever popular Ruby Tuesday. Today I am reviewing the past as our once little kiddies are both going to be leaving the nest, to reside at the University of Hartford. Of course, Allegra has been pursuing her studies for two years already, but now Cameron will be moving on to the U of H as well. Only 46 miles away, true, but slightly out of reach.
It seems a bit odd that the youngsters won’t be home every day. Sad? No, not really. As parents, you hope that you have provided your progeny with a set of values; the sense of work but not entitlement; and the ability to learn far more about success from failure instead of from expectations. Were we successful in our endeavor? I will admit to an obvious bias, however I think so.
The submittal is dated December 9, 1990. Cameron is about two weeks old here. He is dressed smartly in a warm red sleeper, and the shoot went well, as we didn’t have to wait for the smile. Allegra, the nearly two-year old, looks fine in her flannel dress. And there is her favorite knit bear resplendent in red and white, Johnnie Boy (if a grandma gives your kiddo a bear, she can name the bear whatever she wants!). There was so much ruby red here, the picture was used for our 1990 Christmas card. And this week’s Ruby Tuesday. Thanks Teach!

I love how comfy they are together. Cameron is just snoozing away and Allegra looks so at ease holding him.

A beautiful moment.

That's such a sweet picture. I remember when our boys left for university - one, then the other. It was kind of hard to let them go, but at the same time we wanted them to have their own lives. They don't really leave the nest when they go to university - they'll be bouncing in and out of the house for a while yet. Loved your RT post!

Awweee... pictures like this makes all moms wish they'll remain that way longer than they should.
I'm sure it's a heartbreak when they leave for collage away from home.

They look adorable. I bet your card gave everyone a smile in 1990.

I hope they both enjoy their time at school.

My oldest, Max, turns 18 next month. It went by so fast.

Bitterweet photo! Love those pouty lips on Cameron! It's obvious that Allegra loves her Johnny Boy! I find it so sweet that you still remember the name of the bear!

Great posting, I really enjoy and can relate to it, as most of us. I had two older children who left the 'nest' around 1990, so after having an empty nest for years, I have another child(now 13)to look forward to keeping me busy.

Allegra Prescription Information said...

My name is Anne Gallagher and i would like to show you my personal experience with Allegra.

I have taken for 3 months. I am 43 years old. Forgot that last year my legs ached after taking Allegra, it wasn't until yesterday that I remembered that this same thing happened last year. I stopped Allegra 3 days ago and my aches are slowly starting to go away. My insurance denied Zyrtec. I don't know if they are the same, but I would never take Allegra again.

Side Effects :
Lower leg pain from the back of my knee to my ankle. Both legs ached and felt very stiff.

I hope this information will be useful to others,
Anne Gallagher
