Creative Photo - Abridged

For Roger's Creative Photo this week, I am returning to bridges that have a bit of style to them. My subject is from 1999, and is the bridge that spans the Ohio River westbound between Weirton, WVa and Steubenville, Ohio. This is a cable stayed bridge, and the suspension cables eminate from a single tower. On the left, I chose to use the Invert Colors mode, dramatizing the immense tower. On the right the Pencil Drawing mode that emphasizes a more delicate feel.

The original shot is on the lower left. This is a stylish bridge, and if anyone had driven the original two-lane Fort Steuben Bridge (1921) with its narrow lanes and rickety feel, this replacement is safer, more functional and far better looking. And a better photo subject. Visit Roger's great meme for more artists posing as photographers...

Invert colors are stunning. The bridge looks like a design of the future. It is even more impressing that way.
The drawing one is more like a sketch, an idea on paper, preceding its realization. You can do such thing with technology !

That is a very cool bridge and a fantastic photo of it.

I played Creative Photographic for the first time, if you'd like to check out my entry.

What a wonderfully creative entry this week ... educational too. I've only just begun to experiment with filters but hope to learn from all the rest of you.
Hugs and blessings,
