Looking at the Sky - Rainbow Rarities

Rainbows don't occur often enough, The nice thing about these colorful arcs is when they occur - after the sound and fury of the summer storm has moved by. For Looking at the Sky, Tisha's stylish meme, any rainbow will do after the mayhem. I like the subtleties in this. It is not the classic rainbow of bold colors set against an azure sky. Instead the pastel colors seem to split the divergent sky. The closer to the storm is above, the sunny softening of nice weather appears below. This light rainbow gives us the look of hope...

I SO agree! Rainbows do not happen enough. I think I've said it before but I'll say it again. I've seen more rainbows in the three and a half years I've lived in Florida than in the entire rest of my life living in NY. There's something about the sky down here.

Cherish your rainbows!

We all know that rainbows are caused by prisms. There is a scientific reason for their formation. But, I believe that God is the author of science, so I believe in the significance of the rainbow - hope.

I love rainbows! Maybe if they appeared more often we wouldn't appreciate them as much?

Nice capture of the rainbow! I agree, it seems to divide the sky. Happy LATSOF!

I never seem to have my camera with me when I see a rainbow. This picture is just lovely, Ralph - a slight hint of a rainbow across the sky. Beautiful!

Nice capture! Last time I saw a rainbow I ran to get my camera and...poof! The rainbow had faded away. Ephemeral but beautiful!

Ahhhh! So nice to be able to capture a rainbow! Makes you feel special to be at the right place at the right time.

Did you the one I captured over a lighthouse? It was from last week, but I don't recall your comments, you might have missed it.
