Looking at the Sky - Sledding Sun

Here, the winter sky does not predominate, but is what sets the mood for the sledders. Awhile ago, son Cameron and a neighbor friend were sledding down the short, sort of steep hill in our backyard. Not much sun remains today, but on a cold day the burst of sun makes the outdoor activities more interesting and more inviting. With a sun like this in January, kids of all ages would rather play in the cold instead of being bored inside the warm abode...See Tisha's wonderful photo meme, Looking at the Sky, and explore the heavens!

A little bit of sunshine makes any day a little better. Most kids don't need much of an excuse to go play in the snow.

I remember it well. Sometimes the winter days up north are gray, gray, endlessly gray but when you get one where the sun shines bright, it just energizes you. Happy Friday to you, Ralph! :)

This shot brings back memories of days gone by when I'd be happy to stay outside in the cold for hours on end. Alas, those days are long gone and I prefer to watch from the windows of a warm room!
