Ruby Tuesday - Collegiate Rubies

Ruby Tuesday returns, and red is the order of the day. What is more red that the school colors of the U-of-Hartford - white and red. It is the 2009 Parents/Alumni Weekend at the school, and we made our trip on Saturday, and Patti's mom (aka: Gooma) took the one-hour ride with us. This year is two weeks earlier than last year's day, and today it is raining outside with very little Autumnal foliage yet. So the rubies are inside the Gengras Studing Union building on campus.

The Coca-Cola umbrella at the outside patio is lonely in the overcast. The red Mums outside contribute to the ruby hue. But what can you say about two of my favorite ladies as nice as they look here. Another is 'Gooma' Marion, sitting with her granddaughter? The jacket she is wearing is red and Allegra is in style with her Vera Bradley bag. I am not familiar with this brand, and dads are not as brand conscious about accessories (unless they attach to a yard tractor or golf bag...).

However Allegra and her mom approve of the style. Daughter likes the style as her smile attests.

Both are active in the campus TV station.

STN2 stands for
Student Television Network on Channel 2.

Allegra is a video editor, Cameron is the chief engineer. Both are non-paying positions, but and they enjoy these activities very much.

Finally, Cameron has little red apart from his cheeks, but he was part of the day, too. By using the camera at wheelchair height, his large frame looks even larger. Forget the weather, it was a fun family time together. See many rubies at Mary's always fun meme!

Ralph,
This was fun to red...er...read. Working at the school's TV station is great experience, which is priceless. What a bonus that the whole family could enjoy the day together! (Who cares abut the weather, anyway? LOL)

Allegra looks very happy. Love her bag. Great that they have "jobs" that they love - I'm sure they will get paid to do something similar someday, if they have that enthusiasm now. Yes, Cameron is tallllll!

Just love at the lovely faces showing show much love! You are a blessed man Ralph. :)
It's funny but when I read the words on the umbrella I did feel thirsty. I'm a Pepsi girl though.
Wonderful bits of ruby!

Mine’s here: Carletta’s Captures.

I'm obviously much too impressionable - one look at that umbrella and I suddenly got thirsty!

Glad you had such a fun visit :).

Allegra looks so much like her mother it's like looking at sisters rather than mother and daughter. As for Cameron, hard to tell who he looks like from that angle but he sure does look tall!

Lots of lovely reds there, Ralph!
