Shadow Shot Sunday - Newborn Niceties

Hey Harriet's great Shadow Shot Sunday prompts me this week to visit the archives of memories originally captured on prints of film...

The wonder of of all. Our firstborn, Allegra, in her first day at home on January 1, 1989. A Happy New Year, of course. That is me looking in awe. Mom Patti took this picture, the flash leaving a well defined shadow on the off-white plaster wall. Of course, our darling daughter Allegra has grown nicely into the college Senior, who would prefer not to graduate - who would?

The differences between then and now are quite pronounced as she has become a poised woman of beauty with many opportunities.

Of course, my look now is of more gray and more paunch.

As we look back, the wonders do not cease....

That is a really special picture, Ralph. Allegra is a beautiful name, too.

She sounds like my first-born daughter who graduated last May. She misses college terribly! A born student, I guess!

Great photo and sentiment! They do grow up rather quickly, don't they? All to fast, all too fast...

That's so beautiful, and your daughter has such a lovely name. I don't blame Allegra for not wanting to graduate.

Hey that shot of the cheeky seagull in the post below is too cute!

What a lovely picture! I think the shadow is amazing-- sort of like you're absorbing her both physically and emotionally.

She looks so tiny in your hands, aside from the lovely shadow created by a memorable pose and occasion.

Those beautiful wonders do not cease like shadows. Wherever you are, wonders follow you.

That's what I called real "wonders". Loving them to death...

Have a blessed week.
