Ruby Tuesday - School Daze

Ruby Tuesday arrives for another week. Any reds are appropriate, so I am turning to the past for my rubies.

Therefore, why not go back to the first day of school, 1995. Cameron's first day. Naturally, Allegra was an old pro at Mead School as it was her third first day, she going into second grade. The rubies are centered around Cam's fine red plaid shorts and the backpacks. The view is at the front door and the mulberry tree - it had produced its fruit by now. The first-day-of-school white shirt would be purple if it hadn't been.

Retrospective rubies, we took these type of pictures until they felt too old to chronicle their first days, say high school. The smiles are genuine, these college kids now had to start somewhere!

I loved first days for my kids and for me. New shiny shoes, backpack filled with crisp new notebooks and paper and pencils and sharp crayons...
They keep smiling for about that first week and then the mornings are more somber.
Cute shots of your darling ones!

Ralph, have I said before that I never tire of your photos of Cam and Allegra? You and Patti were/are obviously loving parents dressing them so well and taking pictures! Thanks very much for sharing them with us! Happy Ruby Tuesday! :)

Ralph, these are great first-days-of-school pictures! It must be fun to look through your pictures and come across images like these that have nice quantities of the color red. And what CUTE kids they are! :)

Such beautiful pictures of wonderful children at their prime.
Little did we know just how precious those days were. Perhaps you did, since you took so many wonderful photos.
I love the last with Allegra climbing the mulberry tree.

I love Allegra's outfit. Great little frills on the socks. And her dress has pretty frills, too.

Red bags are perfect for school, especially first days of school, perhaps! They contribute to the confidence, when the kids are still all jittery. :)

My RT entry is here. Happy RT!

Such sweet pictures. Cameron looks proud, but a bit terrified, as he heads off to school with his name tag pinned on.

Wonderful pictures. Sweet children! Then I am glad for every picture I take of our children. Ten years must seem to have gone quickly!

Those are such special memories to have. When my daughter turned 21 I took an album and made a story of her life in photos and stories. A boy may not like that but she really enjoyed it. I have to get my scanner working or give it up and get a newer one....Thank you for your lovely comments always Ralph.. Michelle
