Shadow Shot Sunday - More Fore

We merely wish for warmth, the cold extending South to Central Florida and the Gulf Coast. Cold where not expected and ridiculous where. So from vacations past, we draw the warmth of the sun for Hey Harriet's fab Shadow Shot Sunday. At a less-than-perfect wheelchair height, we capture two who are hard at play. Patti (L) and Cameron at the old fashioned Main Street Mini Golf in Hyannis. After Golf, we would retire across the street for a cone of frozen ice cream to cool down a bit. The look of the summer sun is above the duffers as they putt, I feel a little better about the weather now!

Good to have memories of warmer times. I got carried away (multi-tasking BIG TIME with 'reflections' ... 'shadows' and 'critters' too) while sharing 'tamale-making' at Sacred Ruminations yesterday afternoon and evening ... so this morning I'm trying to catch up on blog visits before the day actually begins ... just a couple of blessings of this retired life ;-)
Hugs and blessings,

You know, it really does feel less cold when one sees images like this. At least, for that moment or two of viewing!
Although fall is my favorite season, I do love the heat of summer.
Thanks for the warmth!

What fun shadow shots! And, oh, it does look warm and sunny! We're not having the severe cold weather that we did last year, and like everyone else seems to be having this year, but it is damp, gray and chilly so I can really appreciate the sunny photo! Have a great weekend, Ralph!

Sitting here in the warm morning sun, it's a little hard to imagine what it's like in the Northern Hemisphere right now. So thanks for your charming shots of summers past.

Mini-golf!! I love playing putt putt golf!! I love the colours in these shots - the greeen, green grass, the white path and the blue denim and the shadow - very retro I feel(?). Sorry about the weather you're having over there Ralph - if it's any consolation it is super hot here and really humid - blergh!! Not the best as you can imagine!

Have a lovely week!

That's a great idea to dive into memories, see the sun that way!
Here in Cairo it's really, really hazy at the moment. You can see the haze fly...
Happy SSS!

Oooh putt putt! I haven't played that fun game for so long. Thanks for the sweet memories! AND ice cream! Sounds like a heavenly day to me :)

I so very wish that I could send you guys over some of our warm weather. We have so much of it that it seems crazy not to be able to share. Oh well, you'll just have to make do with my warm wishes for the chilly temps of yours to be on their way quickly. Did that even make sense? If not, let's just blame the heat. It's messing with my brain...

Ooooh bare legs and sun and ice cream! Those memories make me also look forward to better weather in this snow covered country! We're experiencing a real winter here and I really hope it means we will get an even better Spring and Summer in a few months time!

It is fun to see these shots of your family playing mini golf out in the sun. Just yesterday I saw young people in Tucson wearing similar sandals and shorts outside, while more mature folks like me had on layers of winter clothing. It did reach 70 in the afternoon, but only briefly. It's back to 40f this morning.

last summer we found a place where we could play this mini gulf for free (it was e bit broken) but if you have your 3 year old dotter with you and she wants to play it does not matter.

So the played and played all 3 of them. The had fun - I guess as fun as you had on your summer holiday many years ago.
When the photo is in Sepia it is hard to see the different between sand and snow.

Thank you for all your comments,

My mother lives in Central Florida and is frantically looking for warm clothes just to go to the mailbox...we Northerners are a hardy bunch aye, always prepared!

Spring is an itty bit closer, bring it on, this is what I love about Winter, it doesn't last an eternity(unless the ice knocks out my internet)...stay warm!

We'll be seeing 18 degress tonight. Thanks for the memories, especially the slaps. I was wearing waffle stompers when I was outside earlier today - with thick socks.
