Ruby Tuesday - Birthday One

The past is present (for me :>) it seems with the always fun Ruby Tuesday.

Weekly viewers may think that we only had one child, especially given last week's Allegra retrospective. Regular readers know otherwise - the now very large kid, who himself was once a cherubic babe once, that we all know as Cameron.

At Age one, he appears a bit pensive, wondering what was happening with a gaggle of adults and bigger kids cheering after on off-key rendition of Happy Birthday.

He possesses ruby lips and cheeks. His bib also offers the requisite hue. Apparently his concern turned to joy as he consumed his cake.

I think he uses the proper utensils these days...

O what an adorable expression your little one has on his face in both photos! And loved the after comment about using utensils!

Ha, Ralph, you came in first on Ruby Tuesday this week! Cameron is adorable in these pix and I'm sure he's still adorable! :)

Ah, rare is the child whose parents do NOT have a chocolate-cake-face portrait of him or her! I think it's a rite of passage and a requirement of the law under section 7.8.3 of The Parents' Handbook.

So sweet, lovely kid. As someone said, nice to see a child without chocolate. There is so much better and just as nice things to eat.
Have a nice day/

Do you think he knows that many years later you will be posting and telling us about him? He has this knowing look on his face.

What scrumptious cheeks - and the right color for the day as well.

So reminds me of our Quanah when HE was one. He always had a pensive look on his face. People used to call it soulful. He has a huge smile now but still is a soulful man. I'm betting your Cameron is much the same but with greater detail now.

He looks so adorably cute!! thank goodness, he's now using the proper utensils :D have a good week ahead! My RT is up too.

He is very enjoyable, isn't he!
And he looks a lot like your picture back in the olden days, below your profile.

Happy RT! Thanks for your visit and nice comment. The older girl is my great niece, the younger on is my seven month old grandchild.
I guess that makes them third (??) cousins of the same generation.

RALPH !!! You got in the No. 1 spot this week ! Boy, you are too swift for me!! :)
I was running extra late tonight..something happened to my wireless keyboard and it would NOT type for love nor money. I changed the batteries out about 3 times...then, it just started working. I really do think computers and their parts have a mind of their own...I'm about half scared of mine!! ha!

Your boy is so precious in all his rubyness! Does he, by chance, read your blog? *smilin' here....

Being a regular reader here and at Patti's I know Cameron has grown into a handsome young man; but he was most definitely a cutie little baby boy. Looking at this photo you just want to pinch his cheeks!

Love the way you made it a RUBY for Tuesday (sorry to be visiting so late but life's been busier than usual again. Love what you did with the sepia treatment in Wednesday's post too.

Hi is a cutie! Seems he is contemplating the golden crown on his head. Most babies don't keep things on their head for very long but for this special day he cooperated!
