Shadow Shot Sunday - Shadowy Chevy

Given that I am height challenged, my photo perspectives seem to reside at lower altitudes.

Never being one that doesn't appreciate a fine shadow, I often borrow the shadowy works of Patti for Tracy's fun Shadow Shot Sunday.

But on this day in 2008, before I aimed for shadows for SSS, the blend of shadow and reflection jumped up at me. And I happened to have the camera on this day of brilliant autumnal sun. And I like old vehicles, in the air or on the ground. The royal blue canvas adorns this 1964 Chevrolet El Camino (car-truck hybrid, I believe called a Ute in Oz). So the case was made for capturing the photo taker.

Never let a great shadow get away. See more shadowy splendor at Hey Harriet!

Ralph - what a great shadow catch! A 1964 eh? Never really cared for El Caminos....but a 1964 would be worthy to check out :)
Have a wonderful Memorial day weekend!!

I never take a single moment capturing a shadow before. Since I knew this meme I had a good eye on finding a good shadow shot. Happy weekend!

Nice capture, Ralph! You prove regularly that being height challenged isn't really a problem, so the problem must be being attitude challenged!

Thanks for the comment. I, too, noticed the resemblance between flower and cloud

That's one cool arty shot Ralph! I don't know much about cars but was surprised to learn that you knew of the word Ute! Wnenever I've referred to a ute to overseas friends they have no idea what I'm talking about!

Nice catch...you would love sitting on my porch this weekend, I live 2 miles from our very small local airport, the biplanes and the bombers have been up early today making their runs for the holiday weekend.

I especially love the rumbling, deep drones of the old biplane, as he slowly flies over my house, I surly get the first glimpses of history o'er my lil' pink shack, as the first cups of coffee are enjoyed on the ol' porch swing...ahhhh, summer!

Have a wonderful, safe holiday!
