Pets of a different genus...

I know that we have a cat now (hoping to adopt another). But in earlier years in East Hartford, there was the other kind, family friends with a different kind of fur.

The type that is standard equipment with what is formally known to us as as dogs (Canis lupus familiaris). Here are two knuckleheads know as Maggie (foreground, aged about nine) and Tasha (background, about one).

Like cats, dogs in our home capture our hearts, and love us regardless. They also love our servitude, our desire to give them not just what they want, but also what they need. Our attention. Of course, we say that they're demanding - but don't mean it! We are attended to them as required, but really a labor of love...

Good dog!

Hi Ralph. We were always a cat family. They found me and then they found us. Over the years we've lost count of the number of cats that have come and gone in our lives. After we lost our last kitty, we were petless for a little while. Then Krista decided she was ready for a dog. Enter Tanner, a chihauhua/terrier mix. Life has not been the same since. We adore our little granddoggy.

I grew up with cats in our house and I love them, I just don't know if we could have one here hehehe

aw, they're so sweet! I love all animals, but haven't had a place for a dog in long time. Two sweet cats though. Love the picture of your buddies :)
