Ruby Tuesday - Snowy Rubies

Ruby Tuesday takes us back to early 2006, and two children pre-college (aged 15 and 17) who agreed to pose for a picture on a sunny and snowy day. With a stuffed snow person.

They are dressed warmly, with a ruby or two in their outerwear. Cameron in his parka of red, allegra in her knit cap. Of course, the snow person is accessorized in the requisite ruby. The day is cold, yet beautiful.

The beauty here is what we are seeing today, but not tomorrow nor Wednesday with snow and other frozen precip.  I am decidedly not a fan of winer anymore...

Now THIS is a happy, adorable RUBY photo that I love. The stuffed snowman is precious but the handsome Cameron and the beautiful Allegra are the true stars of your great photo.
I am embarrassed that, once again, MY Rubies are FOOD. (I never knew I was obsessed with food until I started blogging. :))
Happiest Rubies..

this pic speaks of Canada. Cold, snow, snow men. and the chilled smiles of being out side. I love it!!!! However I hate winter as well now that I am older!!!!!!

Ralph,
Were you always ahead of your time.
Who could know that you would need these pictures in just a few years time?
To me 2006 sounds like yesterday.
To our children it must feel like a life time.
Here's to all happy memories!

Always leaves us a little unstuck in time. Love the images from different times, in a time when "now" seems too important.

I can feel the chill in the air, Ralph! However, the touches of red moderate the cold...a bit.

SEEING RED

Tonight, my dear, I’m seeing red—
Or is it puce or rose?
Whatever’s going round my head
Is tingling all my toes.

My heart, my dear, becomes inflamed
With passion sore ablaze;
Perhaps it is because I miss
Your glowing, crimson gaze.

Whate’er the cause, my face is flushed
Like a ripened cherry,
No longer healthy, but inflamed—
See the vessels serry*?

A certain sanguine aftertaste
Is clinging to my tongue,
For I have kissed your ruby lips—
To which the claret clung.

*serry – (archaic) to crowd closely together

The red in their clothing certainly brightens up a very chilly winter scene! Wonderful photo!

Great Ruby Tuesday post. I still like one good snowfall during the winter, but I have quit trying to prove myself by driving in it. I just stay home and work from the house until the roads are clear. Happy Ruby Tuesday.

I'm with you! I am weary of the white stuff. My daughter in Philly has been sharing some horror stories of the East coast snowstorms [2 hrs. stuck in the hospital parking lot!]
Thanks for your comments about the sled dogs. They are wonderfully unique indeed.
p.s. Gorgeous pre-college kids!

Now that beats being cold with freezing hands trying to make your own!
Love it Ralph!

I'm ready for spring too. It's been a long winter!!
