Shadow Shot Sunday - Reflective windscreen

Shadow Shot Sunday arrives courtesy of Tracy in (warm) autumnal Brisbane. We see the world often through windows - we need the glass to see outside. Perhaps inside. We aim for light, but often catch appealing glimpses of shadows, too.

It is always good to remember to bring the family point-and-shoot with me for such times as I am waiting. So a leafy car park combined with the backup camera allows for shadows outside to invade the interior.

The view from outside is different. This Dodge is merely a conveyance to go from point to point, we are more interested in the destination. Yet viewed outside-in or inside-out, we happily embrace the shadows as much as the trip...See Hey Harriet for more shadowy elegance!

Peering into the interior of your van, I see shadows peering back at me!

SOME SAY THAT SHADOWS

Some say that shadows are fragments of light,
Others that they are but pieces of night,
Fleeing like demons when dawn becomes day,
Fearing the radiance coming their way.
Is one notion wrong and one notion right?
Just what are shadows if they are not light?

Boy just look at all them leaves, ours are still quite tiny, but boy is the grass starting to shoot up, not a lot of weeds yet, but they've never failed me before!

Have a great weekend Ralph!

I too enjoyed your inside outside shadows Ralph. I tend to take my camera everywhere we go too. I haven't had many opportunities to go places in the past 6 months so every ride in the car is an amazing gift to see the world anew with my eyes and through my camera lens!

Now, wait just a doggone minute here! Is that a back up camera in your rear view mirror? It sure looks like one! Wow.
What a cool way to capture shadows, my friend!

I've been thinking of late that a point and shoot, always kept at hand, might be useful.

Hello there Ralph : )
Those are shadows we will see every time we enter our wheels ;-)
Husband and I both have a helping hand with our special parking signs.
Husband has a beeper system to help him in reverse, but I rely on my eyes to keep from running people over ? LOL .. Our vehicles are important factors in our lives so the shadows they cast are well "fixed" in our sights : )

Fun shot! And I enjoyed reading your previous post about the history you gave us about of the immigrants and the churches in your area. Cool sepia shot.

Good Sunday Ralph! You are quite the wordsmith...I enjoy your words as much as your unique ShadowShots. We're in snowy N.Idaho now, so thought you'd like to know you're not the coldest ShadowShooter anymore. hehe.
