The iconic Brooklyn Bridge, facing Manhattan across the East River. Photo captured by Patti |
This is of course is the iconic and stunningly beautiful Brooklyn Bridge. The stone arches are works of art, and despite its size and age (opened in 1883), it still stands as a strong and stylish gateway to Manhattan. Shadows included.

Dear Ralph
Ms. Patty was a brave soul to help son move there ! You hear so much about this bridge it is amazing to actually see in an informal picture.
The graceful lines are indeed truly beautiful! Great shadow shot Ralph!
Joy : )
Love those "cathedral" shapes featured on the bridge. A grand perspective of an icon.
It is indeed a wonderful iconic sight....
What a beautiful shot of the bridge!
Never been there - but a lovely old bridge indeed! Great shadows for the day.
Those days buildings were built so much better than today.
In the era when boats were made of wood and men were made of steel...
Happy Sunday!
