Shadow Shot Sunday 2 arrives in the Spring up north...although today was a raw and rainy Friday in Connecticut, it is sometimes nice in early april. Like here at the beachfront in nearby West Haven. The few trees near the waters of Long Island Sound seem absolutely ready for foliage to begin in earnest, and that should be soon. The forsythia in our yard is starting to open its yellow buds, so likewise, the few shore trees will be alive soon. As cool as it is now, a shade tree in the Summer heat will be seen as a treat to us non sun-worshiping types...

Waaaahhhh... I am waiting for the Spring time too. I seems it won't come this year. We have rain and wind here in Stockholm.

the water and the sky are such pretty blues...this time of year has us all longing for spring!! and the thoughts of summer shade as a resting spot...delightful.

As it waits, the shadows are creeping up on it...
Our trees are all filled/leafed out mostly. Except for the pecan tree. Just started getting buds. It's always with such great anticipation for Spring to arrive.

It's funny that it looks the same over there and here but we have still snow in some spots...
I've seen several flower buds when walking around the city - soon they will be blooming!

Nice shadows. Our weather is still trying to become truly springlike. They are even calling for snow tomorrow. :-(
