From the bedroom of our son now residing in Brooklyn, NYC...
Shadow Shot Sunday occurs after our latest snowfall, and with the sunshine we can see shadowy art forming before our eyes. So with cheap droid phone in hand, the snowy canvas was observed and captured for SSS2. To compensate for the quality, a B&W edit corrects some flaws while allowing the shadows to stand out a bit more. In the bottom one, the screen in the window even adds a kind of texture to the scene. Yes, it is much colder than normal around here today...merely a small price to pay for well-defined shadows!

Yes, MMT is right -- monochrome is the perfect choice!! We don't have snow, just cold and GRAY!! Hope you have a great new year, Ralph!! Enjoy!
You did a great job with these through-the-window pics!

wish we could get some of your snow over here! Happy New Year!!!
The shadows are certainly bold and defined. Monochrome highlights the contrast of snow and shadow beautifully.
Cheap or not, those are great shots with the Droid! Loving it! HNY!
I'm officially shivering. Take care as more snow is on the way!
I love how pure the snow looks, awesome shot!
Nothing like snow and sunshine to get great shadow shots! Hope you're staying warm in this cold snap.
