SOOC - Snowy Seasonal Sunrise
Snow this week as well as predicted snow for Monday means that we are in the throes of Winter, unable to escape the cold season of a four-season climate. Yet for SOOC - Straight Out of the Camera, we look for the artistry for the warmth of our souls at least. As we see in this lovely early morning sunrise captured by the always lovely Patti - on the day after the snowstorm from the front door. The pale yellow and blue streaks a hint of artistry as the day begins...

Shadow Shot Sunday - Computer vs. Shadows
I am happily back at Shadow Shot Sunday 2! Why my disappearance? I should have consultet our software developer son prior to downloading any app or software…
My #1 resolution for 2015: Ask your software developer son for advice on computer changes First!
I haven't been on my Mac recently...I thought it would be a good idea to turn on the File Vault to encrypt my hard drive. Bad move! The 2009 hard drive was on for five days on with no way to turn off the app. Our son Cameron, home for Christmas, found a way to reverse the process...
It has been Decrypting for five days so far, status bar moving really slow, but happily it is 89% complete. I an not a fan of typing on an iPad. But I cannot stay away from SSS, and Patti needs her computer for work. too. So we wait for the decrypting to end and use the tablet as needed…
For today's post, Patti captured a nice set of subtle shadows on Pickett's Pond at Osbornedale State Park in neighboring Derby. They are seagulls either flying, frolicking or floating on the pond, with reflections of said fowl. The day may be cold, but art and nature play well in any season - thanks M’lady!

Shadow Shot Sunday - Cold city hall
The captures in are shadowy indeed, the stout and frigid breeze a small price to pay. I started the van via the remote start to have it warm inside upon my return...See more shadowy art at SSS2

Lemon Chicken made from lemon Juice |
Tina's Pic Story is back! The rule is simple - we provide the photos to match her theme. which this week is the letter 'J'.
Animals, weather and food are the subjects, yet none of the subjects by name contain that letter...
I trust that my examples meet the challenge!

Tina's Pic Story - Snowy evening mood
As it is the winter season, we may look outside the door to our front and see the falling snow. Since it has not snowed much this warm winter, I have provided a capture from late 2010, on 26 December. The snow fall looks light, but did manage to accumulate 15 in/38 cm that evening…the streetlight is illuminating the tree, the front door light makes the snow flakes look like orbs.
It was warmer taking that evening mood from behind glass in the heated house!
