Wordless Wednesday - Seymour Pink 5K

It's good to be back to the blog, last week my time was consumed for my running of the Ansonia Harvest Festival only to have to cancel it the day of the event on Saturday and spend today on refunds, etc. On the same day, the always lovely Patti participated with her cancer support group 'Circle of Friends' in the Pounding the Pavement for Seymour Pink 5K...her pictures were better than mine so here they are...see WW

Whimsical Windows - Seymour goes pink

The color pink is in the air in Seymour Connecticut, and their downtown windows contain plenty of that pastel and make a fine subject for Toby's meme Whimsical Windows/Delirious Doors. The color was showcased on Wednesday as small town Seymour celebrated the annual Pink Day. Seymour Pink was founded in 2009 as a fundraising effort in fighting against breast cancer. And on a personal note, the organization has been a tremendous help to Patti during and after she was dealing with it herself in 2011. Pink is a great color, the windows not so much delirious as delightful!

Whimsical Windows - Downtown Seymour in Pink

Toby hosts the fun architectural meme Whimsical Windows/Delirious Doors where we look for portals of interest. Today I am featuring two views that Patti snapped during this past week in our north neighbor, the small (13,000) town of Seymour CT on the annual Seymour Pink Day. Turning the small stylish downtown awash in pink in honor of the month of October and breast cancer awareness - a whimsical pursuit indeed:)
