Toby is the host of the great meme Whimsical Windows/Delirious Doors - we look for architectural gems in portals and otherwise. Today is a late summer look at the St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield Ct. When our children were in the University of hartford, this olde world building was on the way home fro campus, perhaps 1-1/4 mile/2 km from the campus. One day I drove up from the road and saw something that feels as if it dates back more than a couple of centuries although this complex was actually opened in 1930. A classic European look, a great building in any era...see more portals at Toby's excellent meme!

That really is classic and old world - how wonderful! So many windows... and you captured them perfectly! Great find, and great compositions. Have a wonderful week!
Excellent examples of French and English Gothic motifs. Thomas of Aquinas would be impressed.
