Shadow Shot Sunday 2 - Sentimental seashore shadows

Shadow Shot Sunday 2 returns near the official end of the heat and humidity of the northern Summer (and the lovely Patti is happy about that :) and as I am in the midst of scanning the family history over the eons, I like this as last look at the beach as Autumn lurks nearby. The year is 1965, the ebbing high tide of the Atlantic Ocean and the great New Jersey shore. The subject here is a cousin at age one who is being introduced to the surf with her mom, and the look of the child is one of a joy of discovery...the soft sand and salty surf are a revelation to the little one who loves  the new sensation...who wouldn't at any age?

This is so sweet and so full of life. It could be any of us or our siblings in 1965. I love the way the surf paints a line across the scene.

Hey happy young guy, nice to meet you!
Your suit looks cool on you...
Here in Helsinki this morning is the first day you can feel autumn - cloudy, windy - yesterday it was still warm and sunny.
It's difficult for me to say bye to summer...I'm not an autumn/winter person.
But it's good to have lots of summer photos in store! :)
Have a good week ahead!

That is truly a classic and timeless image! I love the outfit your cousin is wearing too. The image evokes a lot of reminiscing, no doubt!
