Tina's Pic Story - SOOC
Tina's Pic Story is back as we search for and search to meet the weekly theme supplied by her - sooc (straight out of the camera). Today, my unedited pick is these windows that appear to be floating in outer space... this previously seen view is inside the State Senate chamber at the Connecticut state capitol in Hartford. This was totally unplanned, merely an attempt to take a picture with a cheap point-and-shoot camera in less than ideal lighting conditions. The leaded windows from 1879 seem to 'float' away like a child's balloon at a parade...unedited fun!
Ruby Tuesday 2 - Thin crust, hold the rubble

| A canopy remains intact minus the restaurant. Photo by Patti |
Ruby Tuesday 2 is back amidst of destruction...the building that housed the Derby CT pizzeria Italian Pavilion (IP) is no more...yet the not very strong canopy still stands. It seems odd that the massive wrecking equipment to meant demolish walls of concrete could not deny the ruby fabric a reason to stand. Not to worry, the IP moved about 300 ft (91M) down the road to a bigger and better eatery. With a new canopy too, crisis averted...
(as of yesterday the old building is still a pile of rubble, the ruby awning standing still...)

Whimsical Windows - Profiles in driving

| Cross Parkway, Route 15, Wallingford CT, more recently... |
Patti has the camera on road trips when I am driving. On occasion, the driver's profile may appear when least the driver least expects it...however, these window views offer an eclectic view of the driver's chin from way back then to now...thanks to Toby for the meme and Patti for the flattering profiles...

Shadow Shot Sunday - Circles
![]() |
| Original wheel |
I do not consider myself an artist, but the very circular 1936 Dodge tire and wheel assembly that I posted recently on SSS2 seemed the perfect subject for this show. Plenty of circles here: tire, whitewall, trim ring, rim and hubcap. So I looked at a few edits to consider my framed exhibit...

Gimp, a balky but free photo editor for Mac, was used. I finally settled on the retro look of sepia, and framed it...I call this Dependable Dodge as that is how Chrysler referred to this brand in the early-mid '60s (you are right, I am old enough enough to remember :)
