Today, I present our patio after it has been scrubbed on a delightful summer day - a day that is perfect for cooking something over charcoal for dinner. The photo shows the intrepid photographer reflected twice in the patio door - lighthearted with a hint of whimsy I think...Let the grilling commence!

Shadow Shot Sunday 2 is back, and we persevere in our shadowy quest. Today reverts back three days to 4 July, to celebrate our day of Independence in the US for the 236th time. Fireworks displays are common, and we saw these in downtown Derby the night before. Naturally with many people off work on this holiday, families dining together outdoors is very common as well - with a side order of sun and shadow...

Leap year is a rare event, so I am happy to participate! Today is a picture from a few summers ago. A simple pleasure is a charcoal goal with the fire around the hardwood a glowing orange, the perfect heat to grill. Here is is pork tenderloin slices, marinated in lime juice, garlic, peppercorns, olive oil and crushed red pepper. The Portuguese bread was coated with oil and grilled. Add a salad and glasses of wine - and under the summer sun, it was/is a treat...
