Ruby Tuesday 2 is back, and alas as Autumn approaches, the tomatoes will grow no more. So we are now gathering the remaining fruit in the pots alongside the garage in any color...to ripen in the windows. Alas, winter tomatoes are picked green and transported by truck later - and winter fruit ripened in the window in January is just not the same. So when this is all ruby, a homegrown tomato and mozzarella salad will be the culinary prize!

These look delicious Ralph!
I too am enjoying the last few from the vines.
You are right in that those store bought ones just aren't the same.

We used our very last tomatos several weeks ago...and we also had to let them ripen on the windowsill.
And, you are right...they don't taste the same...still, however, better than any bought at the groc. store. :)
Great rubies....
The evening temperatures will soon drop into the 40's here and leaves will put on their fall colors for all to see. Football Friday nights will require jackets and a warm blanket. Ah, my favorite time of the year, but I will miss the fresh fruits and vegetables from the local farmer's markets. Happy Ruby Tuesday.
I'm looking forward to consuming these!
Happy Ruby Tuesday, my dear.
