For Ruby Tuesday Too, we look for colorful, and perhaps tasty ruby red goodness. At my niece's wedding (Julie and Luis), this appetizer tray of fruits and vegetables has quite a ruby hue for the pre-dinner reception. Tomatoes, peppers, strawberries and grapes enhance the platter and leave lovely shades of red abound!
Ruby Tuesday Too reappears not long after Pati's birthday where she and I had dinner at Moto Bene Italian American Kitchen in our domicile of Ansonia Connecticut. We had their antipasto salad appetizer, nicely served on a cutting board for easier sharing. Although there are plenty of non-rubies present (olives, parmesan, mozzarella), kinda reds (soppressata salami) and finally the ruby goodness of tomatoes and roasted peppers. Everything woke up out taste buds and added our favorite Tuesday color. Happy New Year to all!
Ruby Tuesday 2 is back, and the theme as simple as ever - a lot, a little or in-between reds. For my edible ruby, I refer back to the birthday dinner, prepared by Cam and myself, for of ladies Patti and Allegra. I thought an appetizer, antipasta, or tapas (as you prefer) should include mozzarella, semi-red cappicola ham and the way more obvious rubies tomatoes and roasted peppers. All together covered in olive oil, the apertif was created - and a ruby themed post. Multi-tasking that tastes great as well :)
